Quad Cortex features multiple device block types. Once you have added a block to The Grid, tap it to open its menu.

Footswitches will light up and correspond to any rotary controls on the block you’ve added. Parameters such as gain can be controlled either by rotating the footswitch or interacting with the multi-touch display.

Depending on the device selected, some controls could not appear and the type could change as well (i.e. the parameter could be a knob or a switch).

  • NAVIGATION ARROWS

Tap to navigate through the different impulses.

  • IMPULSE SELECTOR BOX

Tap the impulse name to reveal the drop-down menu for selecting factory impulses and loading your own IR files.

  • POWER BUTTON

Enables or disables the respective IR loader section.

  • POSITION

Controls where the microphone is, from the center of the cone to the edge of the cone (automatically disabled when using external IR files).

  • DISTANCE

Controls where the distance of the mic between close to the cab and far towards the room (automatically disabled when using external IR files).

  • LEVEL

Controls the level volume of the selected impulse.

  • PAN

Controls the output panning of the selected impulse.

  • PHASE INVERTER

Inverts the phase of the loaded impulse.

  • CABINET DISPLAY

Drag the white circles around to interact with the mic placement. This action will be reflected in the POSITION and DISTANCE parameters. 

  • BYPASS

This button bypasses the block entirely.
